“Yes. Is that a thing? It must be.” Her eyes flicked up and around, her brain accessing some kind of information or memories. “I feel so incredibly different. But one thing I do know is that one tiny shot of schmoonshine did not intoxicate me. I am fully aware of what I'm doing, and I just want to check that you are too.”

“I have never been drunk in my entire life, chook.” Liquor simply couldn't keep up with Dragon metabolism. He wouldn't want to be under the influence of anything but her anyway.

“But I want to tell you right now while we're both clear headed. I'm taking you home to have a lot of really dirty sex with you. So, if that's not what you're up for, say so now and we'll put the brakes on.”

Was Lena checking in to make sure he was enthusiastically consenting to sex with her? She stayed silent, her eyes not leaving his for a moment. She was. If he wasn't a fully powered up Dragon Warrior, his knees might have gone a little bit weak for her.

“I very much want to go home with you and have all the really dirty sex. All of it. With you and only you. I want you so keenly that I would perhaps cause a full-on scandal in your small town to have you on my cock in the next sixty seconds, if that's what you also want.”

She nodded and leaned in for another kiss, saying the only words he wanted to hear against his lips. “Yes, yes, and definitely yes.”

She so very sweetly sought his consent to get down and dirty, but he didn't think she knew what she was getting into with him. They were mates. That was a forever thing. Not a one-night stand. It was a huge part of the instant attraction and, at least on his part, the insta-love he felt for her.
